Crosswater Ecolodge Project in China ~ LightPlan
Mon, 4 May 2015The Crosswater Ecolodge, located in Nunkunshan in the north of Guangdong Province, was planned for an expansion phase due to local and international demand for eco-style accommodation in China.
James Wallace of LightPlan was invited to be HDA's Director of Lighting Design for Phase 2 of the project which includes both interior, exterior and landscape lighting design to:-
- two new luxury apartment blocks; one with retail facilities
- a five-level Pavilion overlooking two swimming pools and spas
- a high-elevation multi-story luxury hotel
- formal landscaping
- river valley naturescapes
Located in the verdant Nankun hills of Guangdong province, the Crosswater Ecolodge extension project presents a wonderful opportunity for creative and sensitive architectural lighting design. Besides being in a position to enhance the interior designs, the many possible night-time intepretations of facade elements and landcape decorations offer the potential for a stimulating experience from a distance; while traversing; and from the pedestian view.
