Forrest Place Redevelopment Project in Perth ~ LightPlan

Tue, 26 Aug 2014

With all construction stages of the Forrest Place Redevelopment completed in 2014, as appointed lighting designers to the project, LightPlan was engaged by the City of Perth to oversee the merging, scripting and programming of the new feature lighting throughout the public open space.

Our work was able to deliver a 365-night immersive lighting experience based on a series of 20 Nightscape Scenes which harnessed and merged the light-technical abilities of the newly installed lighting system.

A brief preview of the new feature lighting was experienced by an excited public gathering during the "Switching on the Christmas Lights" event.

Preparatiion and approval of the Nightscape Scenes was completed in mid 2013. Site night trials and  programming began in November 2013. The handover of the project to the City of Perth was on 26 August 2014.
