New Tower & Mix-C Shopping Mall in China ~ LightPlan
Mon, 25 May 2015Zhengzhou is the capital city of Henan Province located in the central region and, similar to many cities in China, is undergoing relatively rapid urban development.
The property owner previously opened Phase 1 of a new Mix-C Shopping Mall with an associated high-rise office tower to be tenanted. Phase 2 effectively doubled the size of the complex, making it the largest mixed development site in Zhengzhou.
The lighting designs extents to major building elements included:-
- facades to highrise tower (comprising 5-star hotel and commercial office space)
- 9-level (above ground) Mix-C retail shopping mall including cinema and a bridge to Phase 1
- sunken plaza
- 2-level retail basement
- perimeter public area land/hardscaping
Our associate office on Shenzhen, HDA was the appointed lead lighting designer. As part of a collaboration, and as HDA's Director of Lighting Design for this particular project, LightPlan's James Wallace was engaged to oversee the conceptual design stage including quality and compliance aspects.
